The Cellular Organelle Biology Laboratory (COBL) at Chonnam National University studies the structure, dynamics, and function of intracellular organelles, with a focus on the endoplasmic reticulum, endosomes, and inter-organelle membrane contact sites.
Beyond classical organelles, we investigate membrane-less condensates formed by liquid-liquid phase separation — and how the regulation of these structures shapes immune responses, antiviral defense, and the mechanisms of disease.
